About the event

This class will cover the ethical foraging and processing of medicinal herbs to create tinctures, infusions, oils and essences.  Participants will learn about the importance of herbalism in social movements, self-care, community care, and pandemic resilence.

We will start each day with yoga or movement and a warm breakfast option, before diving into our days projects.  We will cover basic herbal first-aid for those who spend time on the trails, and go on a plant walk to identify the native plants and discuss their medicinal properties and constituents.  Participants will learn about the best herbal preparations to make with the different herbs available, and create their own hands-on products to share with their friends, family, and communities.
